Devry Garity, NP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner – and the only pediatric-specific provider in a region of 15,000 residents – at a community clinic in rural Homer, AK that recently lost their only local psychiatric specialist. With her REACH training, she plans to implement more robust mental health screenings and support her entire care team in managing behavioral health needs, in addition to collaborating with schools and community organizations.
