Mental Health
Training Scholarships

Each year, REACH awards fully funded training scholarships to healthcare professionals serving high-need communities — because we want to ensure every child, especially those with limited resources, has access to effective mental health care.

Current Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships for Primary Care Clinicians Serving High-Need Communities

REACH scholarships are awarded to primary care clinicians working in underserved communities across the United States. Funded by generous contributions from corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors, these scholarships remove the financial barrier to REACH training — so dedicated PCPs can get the skills they need, and the children they serve can get the care they deserve.

PPP Scholarship — National Applicants

Fully funded access to REACH’s Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP) program. Open to primary care clinicians nationwide serving underserved communities.

Scholarship Questions Answered

Everything clinicians need to know about REACH scholarship eligibility, how to apply, and what to expect — so nothing stands between you and the training that changes practice.

Who is eligible for a REACH scholarship?

REACH scholarships are awarded to primary care clinicians and school nurses serving high-need, underserved communities in the United States. PCPs applying for the PPP scholarship should be working in community health settings, school-based health centers, federally qualified health centers, or other communities where access to pediatric mental health care is severely limited.

How does REACH define an “underserved” community?

Eligibility criteria can vary by program and funder, but generally, underserved communities include populations with limited access to mental health care due to geographic, economic, or systemic barriers. Examples include clinicians working in federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) or rural communities, where specialist mental health care is limited or unavailable

What does a REACH scholarship cover?

REACH scholarships are fully funded — covering the complete cost of tuition for the training program. Scholarship recipients receive the same intensive, evidence-based training as all REACH participants, including workshop attendance, case-based learning calls, and all course materials.

What is the PPP program I’d be applying for?

The Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP) is REACH’s flagship training for primary care clinicians. It combines a 3-day intensive workshop with twice-monthly case-based learning calls over four months, led by nationally recognized psychiatrists and PCPs. Completing the PPP equips clinicians to confidently assess, diagnose, and treat the most common pediatric mental health conditions — including ADHD, anxiety, depression, and more.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

Applications are available directly on this page.

When are scholarship decisions made?

Scholarship decision timelines vary by program. Applicants will be notified according to the review schedule for the program they applied to.

How many scholarships does REACH award each year?

The number of scholarships available each year varies, as it is dependent on funding. Our PPP program typically offers 50 scholarships each year, and we often have scholarships available for other programs. Join the Scholarship Email List to hear about new scholarships as they become available.

Who funds REACH scholarships?

REACH scholarships are made possible by generous contributions from corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors committed to expanding access to pediatric mental health care. If you’re interested in funding a scholarship, visit our Ways to Give page — for $2,500, you can fund one clinician scholarship and help transform care for 250 children each year.

What if no scholarships are currently available for my region or role?

Join the REACH Scholarship Email List to be notified as soon as new opportunities become available. Scholarship offerings expand as funding grows — and new rounds are added throughout the year.

I received a scholarship. What happens next?

Congratulations — and thank you for the work you do. Once your scholarship is confirmed, the REACH team will be in touch with registration details, course dates, and everything you need to prepare for your training. We’re proud to support clinicians like you — and the children who will benefit from your care.
